Pharmaceutical Biomaterials

  Dr Hossein Derakhshankhah    

Brief introduction:

  • Dr. Hossein Derakhshankhah is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Biomaterials at the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences (KUMS). He obtained his Ph.D. in 2017 from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), under supervision of Professor Morteza Mahmoudi, on the Nano-Bio Interactions in neurodegenerative disease specially Alzheimer disease. His current research area is in development/design of Nano/Bio materials for treatment of Neurodegenerative Diseases (Alzheimer, Parkinson, etc.) and regenerative medicine.

 Degrees:

   Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Biomaterials.

   M.Sc. in Biophysics.

   B.Sc. in Cellular-Molecular Biology.

Brief Skills and Expertise:

  • My research interests within these years include drug delivery systems, polymer chemistry, polymeric biomaterials, pharmaceutical biomaterials, rational design, synthesis and characterization of nano-biomaterials for various biomedical applications including tissue engineering, drug delivery, and biomimetic enzymatic activities.
